SOCCER, SOCCER and more SOCCER

We have been enjoying soccer the past few weeks. This past weekend we were in Gaylord for a tournament with Nicole's team. The kids and the adults had a great time! Nicole's team played their hearts out! The talent on that team is amazing! The girls placed 2nd at the tournament. See below for pics. Weather permitting, I will get some pics of Ashley at Saturday's game.

My Baby Turns 7

Ashley celebrated her 7th birthday this week. All the kids on the bus sang "Happy Birthday" to her compliments of Nicole. We celebrated last weekend because the girls had Religious Education class that night. Her teacher, friends, and family made her day special so she came home very excited! We gave in and let her have ice cream after Church at 8:30pm(a half hour past her bedtime). What the heck....you only celebrate your 7th Birthday once!

1st Day of School

Nicole and Ashley started school last week. Both the girls are growing up so fast! Nicole started 5th grade and Ashley 2nd grade. Ashley told us one night last week that 2nd grade is the best because they didn't do any work. My guess is that she will feel differently in a few weeks. Another highlight of her week is that she is able to sit by anyone she wants in the lunchroom. Last year she had to sit with her class at an assigned table. Nicole enjoyed getting back with her friends but does not care for the homework. As you can see from the pictures Nicole did not take my advice to wear something besides a t-shirt to school on the first day.
